Among the various fun activities during Christmas, Ice skating is one of the most popular and most loved activity. During Christmas, many places in London are converted into Ice rinks so that friends and families can enjoy the festive season to the fullest. The following are some of the popular Ice skating places in London:
I see the broadgate ice rink almost every day as my work place is very close to it. If you are coming by tube, as soon as you get out of the Liverpool tube station gates, head straight to the stairs in front of you. Climb the stairs and take the immediate left. Keep walking and you will find burger king and then M&S to your left. You will also find a Three shop and then you will see a huge and tall metallic structure. Once you see it, reach to it and climb the stairs to your right. You will see some buildings surrounding a circular arena, which itself is the broadgate circle. This not so big circular arena is surrounded by loads of pubs and places to eat. To me, it sometimes seems like a mini version of the "Circus" in Bath or London. When the Broadgate circle is not an ice rink, it is used for the promotion of various products. It seems to be hired by different companies to promote their product or services. I think during the last winters I actually saw this arena being converted into an ice rink, gradually. When it is neither an ice rink nor a place for promotion, it is used to just sit, smoke, relax etc.
