V&A South Kensington
V&A South Kensington is the world's greatest museum of art and design, with collections unrivalled in their scope and diversity. Discover 3000 years' worth of amazing artefacts from many of the world's richest cultures including ceramics, furniture, fashion, glass, jewellery, metalwork, photographs, sculpture, textiles and paintings.

Museum of Childhood
The Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green is home to one of the world's largest and oldest collections of toys and childhood artefacts. The collection, which dates from the 16th century to the present day includes dolls, teddy bears, toy soldiers, train sets, model cars, puppets, rocking horses, costumes, board games, and some of the first jigsaw puzzles ever made.

Theatre Collections Online
The V&A's Theatre Collections have now moved from the Theatre Museum building in Covent Garden, and new theatre and performance galleries at South Kensington opened in Spring 2009.

Exhibition Tickets
Advance telephone and online booking
Our booking line telephone number is 0844 209 1770. To book online visit individual exhibitions for details. We recommend advance booking for exhibitions to guarantee entry. A booking fee, or handling charge, is payable on all pre-booked tickets. Advance telephone and online tickets can only be booked up to 48 hours prior to visit.
In person at the V&A - in advance or on day of visit
Tickets are available from the Information Desks in the Main Entrance. Tickets are subject to availability, and no booking fee applies
Concessions are available for senior citizens, full-time students* and ES40 holders. Tickets are free for V&A Members and Patrons, under 12s, people with a disability and up to two carers, ICOM / Museums Association card holders, school, college, university and community groups. Art Fund and D&AD members get half price entry including concessions but excluding family tickets.

By Foot
The V&A is ten minutes walk from Harrods, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park
By Bicycle
The V&A is a couple of minutes ride via Exhibition Road from the cycle paths in Hyde Park. Cycle racks are available on Cromwell Gardens immediately to the right of the Grand Entrance and there is a cloakroom just inside. Find out more from Transport for London .
By Public Transport
London Underground (The Tube):The V&A is a five minute walk from South Kensington underground station (on the Piccadilly, Circle and District Line). South Kensington is a five minute tube journey from Victoria, ten minutes from Covent Garden and Lecicester Square and 15 minutes from King's Cross St Pancras.
The V&A is a ten minute walk from Knightsbridge underground station (on the Piccadilly Line). Knightsbridge is a ten minute tube journey from Covent Garden and Leicester Square and 15 minutes from Kings Cross St Pancras.
Bus: Buses C1, 14, 74 and 414 stop outside the Cromwell Road entrance. The Open Tour stop outside the Museum as part of their Double Decker Bus site-seeing tour of London.

Travelling by Road
By road Cromwell Road is the main A4 route into London from the West.
Coach Parking
There is a coach drop-off point in both Exhibition Road and outside the Museum on Cromwell Road. The nearest coach parks are located at Warwick Road, Bayswater Road and Park Lane
Car Parking
There are meters on Exhibition Road. Blue badge parking bays are directly outside the Exhibition Road entrance. Find our more about car parking near the V&A .
Eating & Drinking
The V&A Café
The V&A Café offers hot dishes, salads, sandwiches, pastries and cakes, as well as hot and cold drinks, wine and beer. All food is prepared and cooked on the premises using fresh food, bought daily.
The Café is located in the V&A's original refreshment rooms, the Morris, Gamble and Poynter Rooms. These three rooms formed the first museum restaurant in the world and were intended as a showpiece of modern design, craftsmanship and manufacturing.
Opening times
The Café is open 10.00-17.15 and from 10.00-21.30 on Fridays.
The Garden Café
The Garden Café is open during the summer for drinks and snacks from 10.00-17.15.
Families
Both the V&A's Cafés are great for children, with a wide range of food for all tastes. High chairs are provided in the main café. Main meals are half-price for children under 10.
